Day 02:- Aizawl

​

After breakfast explore the State Museum, established in the center of Aizawl city, this small yet graceful museum gives a complete insight into the civilization and tradition of Mizoram. Then later we will go to Bara Bazaar, this is the main Shopping market of Aizawl. Afterwards we visit KV Paradise, Solomon`s Temple (one of a kind, newly constructed), war memorial, Tlangnuam and Zuangtui Weaving Centre. Return Back to your hotel. Night Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

 

 

Day 03:- Aizawl – Champhai

After breakfast, drive towards Indo-Myanmar border town called Champhai. On arrival check-in at the tourist lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 04:- Champhai

​

After breakfast drive to Rih Dil, which is a heart shaped famous lake where our forefathers used to believe a person goes after he died. It is located in Myanmar zone. There are many interesting things to do like; boating, lakeside restaurant, trekking, exploring Buddhist’s monasteries and others. This is a great chance to visit a small village of Myanmar and experience their lifestyle and communicating with the locals. In the evening, after we had our interests done, we’ll drive back to Champhai town to spend the night there. Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 05:- Champhai – Aizawl

​

After breakfast, drive back to Aizawl. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06:- Aizawl – Guwahati

​

This morning transfer to the Aizawl airport for your flight to Guwahati. On arrival in Guwahati, you will be met by our representative and then transfer to the hotel. Thereafter visit the famous Kamakhya temple. This temple dates back to the Vedic and the Puranic times and is the center for Tantricism. Legend has that Kamakhya came into existence when Lord Shiva was carrying the corpse of his wife Sati, and her „Yoni‟ (female genitalia) fell to the ground at the spot where the temple now stands. The temple is a natural cave with a spring. Evening go on a River Cruise on the mighty River Brahmaputra for an hour (Subject to weather permitting & availability). Dinner at a specialty restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07:- Guwahati – Kaziranga

​

Morning after breakfast drives to Kaziranga National Park (240 Kms / 5 hrs.) a world heritage site and famous for the one horned Rhino. On arrival, check-in at the resort. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

Day 08:- Kaziranga

​

Get up very early in the morning for an exciting elephant ride. Enjoy the ride through the Park for 1 hr. to appreciate the luster of renowned one horned rhino, wild elephant, etc. up close. After breakfast, Jeep safari inside the Central range of the park. This drive is an ideal introduction to the park and its ecology as the route passes through the entire spectrum of habitat types prevalent in the area. There is a possibility of sighting elephants as well as the other Mega herbivores, Swamp deer etc. Traditional Assamese lunch and thereafter go on a Jeep safari inside Western range of the National Park to enjoy the wildlife of the park. The route traverses the southwest portion of the park. This range has maximum short grass areas and is the optimum habitat for Rhino and Water Buffalo. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

Day 09:- Kaziranga – Tezpur

​

After breakfast the ancient city of Tezpur (2 hrs.). Tezpur is a very old historic town of Assam then known as Sonitpur. Historical ruins of 8th-9th century dot the surrounding areas of the town. The ruins of Bamuni Hills among them are the most famous. They bear resemblance to the Gupta period art. Accordingly there are plenty of myths as well. The ruins of Da Parbatia are a shining example of the architecture around the 4th Century AD. Modern Tezpur was founded by the British colonial administration in 1835 as the headquarters of Darrang district. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon Visit Agnigarh, Mahabhairab temple and Chitralekha Udyan. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

 

 

Day 10:- Tezpur – Guwahati – Depart

Morning after breakfast, drive to Guwahati (4 hours) and transfer to Guwahati airport for your onward journey.
